Care & Handling Guide For Ceramics

How to Clean your Porcelain & Stoneware Products:

Beautifully Handcrafted Ceramics need to be treated in a gentle manner in order to preserve it's beauty. Although very strong, these items are still breakable if not handled with care.

These products are NOT Dishwasher and Microwave Safe. As always with any crockery, avoid any sudden temperature change, such as putting a hot item into cool water. Never put anything with metal (gold or platinum) in the microwave oven.

Avoid using scouring pads or harsh abrasives. To avoid scratches, steel wool, caustic liquids and abrasive cleansers should never be used to clean your products. We recommend hand washing in mild soapy water and drying with a soft cloth.

If you find that the gold lustre has discoloured, a good cleaning in warm soapy water using a soft cloth should remove this discolouration and restore your crockery to its former beauty.

Care & Handling Guide For Gilded Metal Tableware

How to clean your Gilded Metal Tableware:

Our gorgeous range of tableware is hand-cast and gilded in pure Silver, Brass or Copper.  These products are NOT Dishwasher and Microwave Safe.

As gilded metal pieces tarnish over time, it develops a patina which actuates the natural texture of the item, eventually leaving a darker patina. Buff lightly with a silver cloth to restore highlights.

Patina is a gorgeous thin layer that forms on the surface of metals produced by oxidation or other chemical processes. A soft mellow, lustrous finish that well used and cared for silver, brass or copper develops over time. These marks are part of the living finish of silver, brass or copper and should be prized.

We hope this information will help you keep your Ceramics and Tableware long lasting for generations to come. When you choose HAUTE EDIT, you choose exceptional quality products of unsurpassed beauty and value from a name you can trust.
