Terms & Conditions

By purchasing goods and services from this site you acknowledge and agree to the Terms & Conditions as set out below:

Reference to ‘you’ and ‘your’ shall be deemed to be references to the person placing an order via the site. Reference to Haute Edit and ‘we’, ‘us’,  ‘our’ and ‘the site’ shall be deemed to be references to Haute Edit,  an online store with offices located in Franschhoek, South Africa.

The terms outlined below, along with our Shipping Policy,  Exchange Policy, Pre-Order Policy and Product Care Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us relating to your use of the site and placing of orders for products and services from us.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time and without notice, with such amendments becoming effective immediately upon posting to the site. Every time you wish to order products, please be sure to check our current terms and conditions.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THESE POLICIES, AS THEY INCLUDE IMPORTANT TERMS WHICH APPLY TO YOU AND INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS.

Collectible Design is the term used to describe highly crafted design pieces that are either one-off or part of a limited edition. Art collectors prize original ceramic pieces that are delicately handcrafted by celebrated ceramicists for their uniqueness and slight imperfections, which due to the handmade process should not be seen as defects. These imperfections contribute to the exquisite beauty and uniqueness of every piece.

All our products are handmade and hand engraved. Therefore every piece is unique, and no two products are ever the same. There are subtly noticeable design variations, irregularity in size, glaze, and texture in all collections which contribute to the uniqueness of each product.

Product Information: All reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the details, descriptions, and prices of our products are accurate at the time when the appropriate information was uploaded to the site. At any given time information posted on the site may be subject to inaccuracy or may be out of date. All content provided on the site is subject to change without prior notice.

We take care to ensure that the photographic images used for our products show accurate product detail and colour. However, such images are for illustrative purposes only and we do not accept responsibility for any variation in colour caused by software or the computer systems used by you.

Although we have made every effort to be as accurate as possible, because all of our products are handmade, all sizes, weights, capacities, colours, dimensions, and measurements indicated on our site are for illustrative purposes only and shall be deemed to have a 10% variation tolerance.

Every effort is made to maintain the accuracy of the information concerning stock levels but, on occasion, discrepancies may occur. Should you place an order for an item displayed as available on our website and in fact the item is ‘out of stock’, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Orders: This site’s e-commerce system will guide you through the order process, which allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your order on each page of the order process before submitting your order to us.

When you place an order, we will require your name, email address, phone number, and postal address details. This information is required in order to process your request or to inform you of our acceptance of your order. A contact phone number is needed so that we can get in touch if there is a problem with your order. We may, unless you inform us otherwise, provide our couriers with your contact phone number in case they need to reach you to arrange the delivery of your order.

After you place an order online, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order, but this does not mean that your order has been accepted. We will confirm our acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that your payment has been received and the products have been dispatched and the contract between us will only be formed when we send you such dispatch confirmation.

In respect of Pre-Orders made via the site for any out-of-stock products, all prices and delivery times on the site, or in our order acknowledgment e-mail, are given as indications only and we make no guarantee as to the availability, price, or delivery date of the products covered by your pre-order. Your pre-order is not deemed to be accepted until we send to you a dispatch confirmation.

Should there be an issue with your order, we will contact you either by phone or email. Please ensure that you check all items on receipt, as faulty or damaged items must be reported within 7 days of purchase.

When you place an order with us it will be deemed that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. If you are unhappy with any part of these terms and conditions, you should contact customer services before submitting your order to us. You can contact customer services either by phone on 021 8630596 or by email at shop@hauteedit.com.
